Last night as Hutch and I were driving home from seeing “Chronicle” and we witnessed a motorcycle accident. Since we’re both First Aid and CPR certified we figured we’d stop and help out. The guy was conscious, even though he was very badly injured. I’m not going to go into details as it was all rather gruesome, but I think the guy will be alright considering. He most likely lost an eye, will be in casts for a long time, and may have some brain damage. I didn’t share my very emotional writings on it last night, but it obviously affected me because I cried a little more today. The Florida Highway Patrol won’t give me any information, but I really hope the motorcycle guy is okay.
Needless to say, I no longer want a motorcycle. (My father is really happy I stopped to help… he’s been concerned about me wanting a motorcycle for years.)
I live in Florida. We had about three days of winter back in November and it’s been like 70 degrees or so all season. Well I wore shorts Friday to a sleepover with my only local mom friend. It rains, and of course we get a cold front. This is day two of said cold front and I don’t like it. My nose is all runny and I have too pee more when it’s cold. I was bitching around Christmas because I was wearing tank tops every day, but since then I’ve adjusted and now I’m sad to be cold.
I bought new tennis shoes yesterday so I can start running. I am going to try The Couch to 5K running Plan and see how it goes. My plan is to run for cancer research, prematurity awareness, and probably good fun-filled zombie & monster runs. I want it to warm up again so I can run at night, otherwise I guess I’ll be joining the mid-afternoon running club. I really hope the cold doesn’t last long though. I was looking forward to peaceful runs on my own in the dark.
Before I go, I wanted to reach out and let you guys know that I’m taking donations/sponsors for the hand made giveaway I want to host here in April. I’m going to include a custom children’s Cute-a-saurus hoodie myself, but if any other crafty people want to throw in on my giveaway package that would be fabulous! A crafty collaboration if you will! Email me: shary [@] attamama.com (any donations, big or small, are welcome).
