We have this adorable park in our apartment complex. I admit we don’t go every day even though it takes 30 seconds to get there. The problem with it is that anytime we go to any park Gaia throws a fit when it’s time to go. It doesn’t matter if it’s 5 minutes or an hour, there’s a tantrum every time. Today I somehow magically avoided it.
I love Publix. This is not an exaggeration.
1 \ On our way home from Publix Gaia always stops at this assisted living home to play on the hill. Sometimes there are adorable old people sitting on the porch in the background and they talk to her and give her sweets. 🙂
2 \ Chowing down on some popcorn chicken.
3 \ Running is fun! I love her concentrated running face.
4 \ It’s hot outside so we threw on our flip flops for today’s adventures. Gaia wound up stopping 3 times to get sand and mulch from her shoes.
5 \ “But mom I don’t want to go home!” This is her pre-tantrum eyebrow furrow.
6 \ I explained that we didn’t go to the park more often because she was always mean to me about going home. We had a short conversation, and she agreed to come home willingly if I brought her back tomorrow. “If you were never mean to me we’d come every day.” Deal? Deal.
