Inspiration or something like it…

My trip to JoAnn Fabrics was disappointing. I had a 50% off coupon and I intended to get some jersey knit for the top I wanted to make this week. Alas, I came up empty handed. I almost bought some satin instead, but I’ve never sewn satin before and I wasn’t about to let it go to waste.

So I came home and Googled jersey knits. I found Girl Charlie Fabrics and bought two prints on sale:

The first is just too adorable to resist. I’ll probably wind up making a simple everyday tee to wear and it’ll probably become my new favorite shirt. The second will be my circle shirt. 🙂

In case you were wondering, I used my coupon for a bitty books set:

Gaia uses various notepads she finds to create stories, and I thought this would be awesome. Also, I stole one to make a book for my boyfriend. Because I’m just that cute.

  1. wow, are you making the Tee by yourself? show me about it, because I really want to be able to make my own clothes! That fabrics are beautiful..I like the second one. Can’t wait to see them made. Should be gorgeous!

  2. The fabric in the first square is adorable, I can see why it would turn into your favorite tee:) I am just hopping over from It’s so very Cheri blog hop and am following you. I would so love a follow back

  3. Those fabrics are cute! JoAnn’s is hit or miss for me sometimes too.

Following you from Happy Hour Projects, hope you have a minute to drop by! Happy Friday!

  4. OMG that first fabric is too adorable! I hate it when I go to Joann’s and leave without what I wanted, but like you, I have to use my coupon on SOMETHING! lol. I’m a sucker for those craft store coupons.

Stopping by from the Hop to say HI! I’m following you in LF and G+, though I’m already following you on twitter 🙂

    Have a great weekend!
