My new planner makes me happy :)

I’ve been trying to have my new life a little more organized. I guest posted last weekend at To Sew with Love about my craft space, and now I’ want to share with you my newest organizational happiness.

The planner I was using was free from the college I attended and ends this month. I panicked and bought a new one because I used it to schedule out stuff for my blog. It also became a lifesaver when I started signing up for free trials with InboxDollars. So we went shopping last week. I also needed pens for work and I chose the color pack this time. I only ever use Pilot G-2 07 pens if I have a choice. I love them very much.

Blue is for bills and real life stuff, purple is for specific posts (anything with a deadline), burgundy is for giveaways, and pink is for work…

I used a clip to keep my calendar view of the current month easily accessible and just turn the pages as weeks go by. Simple, but effective.

My work schedule would clog up the monthly view so it’s just on the daily view. 🙂

How do you organize?

  1. I LOVE Google Calendar… it keeps everything in my phone also, and I can share “invites” with friends, or J, for events, meetings I may have, the gym, etc.
I also color code it… anything related to the blog is green, J and I is blue, etc. Super helpful, and since it is both on my pc and my phone, I can’t lose it!
I have always loved a paper planner, but haven’t been very good about updating them. Someone posted the idea recently of a “post it note” planner, and I loved that. You take a regular notebook, use adhesive divider tabs to mark off your sections, then post it notes to delegate appts, tasks, etc. It looked super fun and very cute, so I may have to give that a try.
Have a great rest of your weekend!

  2. Can I tell you I also love paper planners? I’m a techy girl but there is something about paper and being able to see everything at once. Oh, and those gel pens, also a fan. I label mine so nobody steals them…lol!

  3. You are so organized! I love it!

  4. WOW!You really are organized! I have a planner but not color coded at all! Really good idea to start color coding as it is would be more helpful to me to keep things straight. Thanks for the idea!

Thanks for stopping by my blog!
