Lusting After Shabby Apple

I do consider myself frugal and love cheap things. I’m still allowed to look at things out of my reach, right? I do this all the time actually. Sometimes I find shopping sites or products that are cheap, fall in love with them… And before you know it a year later they’ve tripled in price. So aggravating.

One of my biggest time-wasters is sitting around making shopping carts and filling them with lovely pretty things I can’t afford. Sometimes I could actually check-out, but then I’m like “whoa, you could do so much more with $80.”

For example, I bought nearly all my new maternity clothes for a total of $64 from Old Navy. I got three long-sleeved shirts, two short-sleeved shirts, a pair of shorts, a tunic, and a dress. How? They were having a sale online plus I had a coupon code… and because I spent over $50 I got free shipping. Dudes, that’s just how I roll.

And yet, I will sit on websites like Shabby Apple and imagine myself in fancy dresses prancing around and attending tea parties and plays. I’m totally allowed. Here are some of my favorites: some are maternity and some are for times when there isn’t a giant, wiggly growth on my mid section.

They have kids clothing too, in case you would rather spoil the little ones. πŸ™‚

There are a few giveaways I’ve entered this week. You should stop by and see if you’re lucky enough to win some Shabby Apple dollars. And maybe you will share? Haha (I wouldn’t either).

Good luck to us!

  1. I love sitting around making wish lists or “window shopping” online. I’m the same way when it comes to checking out though. I think “Do I REALLY need that, or could I use the money for something else?” I came seconds away from buying a ROKU machine because it was on sale for a great price, but then remembered that I have XBOX Live now, so I really don’t need it. Or do I? Now I have “didn’t buy” remorse, lol!

  2. Thanks for sharing πŸ™‚

  3. This totally cracked me up πŸ™‚

  4. So with you. I have never bought anything from Shabby Apple but I enter every giveaway possible for it. I LOOOOOOOOVE their dresses. Online, at least.

  5. These dresses look nice!!!

  6. I like the reddish purple dress. The others are pretty too. I don’t dress up very often anymore though. That may change again this summer…if so I might do some shopping.

I’m not at all sure that dress would come in my size though. I’m pretty big. πŸ™

  7. LOL. I’ve never really look at Shabby Apple before! Guess I’ll steer clear unless by some miracle I win gift cards by the bundle!

  8. I love Shabby Apple items. I have 2 dresses and love them both dearly.

  9. I love some of their dresses. They are adorable. To be honest, I make shopping carts with no intent to buy…usuallly full of cloth diapers…

  10. I love their clothes, too – sometimes, I think I’ll treat myself to a dress or new outfit, I look around, look around – then, chicken out!
