My Best Friend is a Superhero

Arianna, my best friend, is a superhero. I’m not even 100% sure if I should write her full name so potential employers can find this via Google or not, but she’s so awesome I just had to share with you how lucky I am to have such a bright, shining star in my life.

I met Arianna my senior year in high school in a creative writing class. She sat next to me in her jean jacket and peace sign tee shirt and immediately began to talk to me with this annoyingly cheerful tone. (I did not enjoy high school… I was not pleasant.) I don’t think it took longer than a week for her to break me. We became really good friends.

Arianna is the most dedicated, most reliable friend I’ve ever had. She is seriously the one person on this planet (besides my own mother, of course) that I could call on and have no doubts about being there to support me. I could say “Hey Arianna, I joined this clan and we need to sacrifice a virgin… know anyone?” And within the hour she’d have a sweet virgin at my doorstep.

Okay not really. But you get the point.

Not only is she an awesome friend, but she’s seriously on a mission to save the world. She’s one of those people out there making a difference. She’s traveling the country right now bouncing from farm to farm and exploring all these awesome workshops on sustainable living and agriculture. She’s totally into recycling, reusing, and creating the best possible outcome from everything she does. We all make our mark on the world, and she wants hers to be as painless as possible.

If one day I suddenly disappear, it’s because we’ve gone off-grid to start a hippie commune together. Just so you know…

This is her working on her first official farm earlier this. The video below is about Sustainable Kashi in Sebastian, Florida. She’s in there… the hottie from Chicago.

Now you have an idea of how wonderful she is. Do you have a friend that inspires you to be a better person? I’d love to hear all about it!

  1. I’m so glad you have such a close friend like that! Wish I could say the same!!

  2. I love this post. My best friend is Jessica and she is the greatest friend. We don’t see each other very often but we talk on the phone a lot. When we do see each other it is like no time has passed.

  3. This is such a great post – what a wonderful lady your friend is and what a great friend you are!

  4. Awww. Thank God life changer friends, right?

  5. My best friends are great. Blessed for having them in my life.

  6. Oh my goodness, I love this post!

I have known my friends Erin and Chelsea since we were in middle school and they have been with me through everything. They are just the types who you could call at anytime and get advice or, consequently, go months without seeing and then when you’re together again it just all clicks into place.

Rock Star Friendships are one of the greatest things on the planet, I’d say. I think it’s so cool that you’re honoring your best friend with a blog post – definitely an inspiration for me for the future! 😀

  7. Such a lovely post xx

  8. What a wonderful way to show your friend how much you love and appreciate her! How sweet!

  9. How sweet! You are a great friend as well and I bet she is glad to have you!

  10. I have two best friends from different times in my life. Donna is my childhood friend, we’ve known each other since 6th grade. Though we lost touch for a few years (I moved 1200 miles away) we have found each other again and it didn’t even seem like we had lost a couple of years. Christine is my besty for the last five years. It’s amazing to find one woman in your life that you know without a doubt you can count on I have been fortunate enough to find two.

  11. she is one of the gems that I have had a chance to be friends with. I love you girl.

  12. My sisters! They are the best friends. I love being able to talk to them about EVERYTHING. So thankful God gave me them. 🙂

  13. I loved your post! I have a best friend that I call my Sis, we have been friends since 1987, and been through so much together!

  14. I have some awesome friends that let me be comfortable being me. As far as inspiring me …. Well I know some who do great work but we are not close friends.

  15. I have Few, but Very Lovely Friends – They are Priceless, as is Yours! ;-} Good for Us! (I’m here via Blogelina)
