Vitabath Review

This post is part of my big Blogiversary Celebration! Don’t forget to enter the giveaway and stay tuned all week for fun promotional codes and goodies just  for you, my readers!

The main reason I started this blog was because I was in desperate need of some healing. I’ve always been “slightly broken” and had issues dealing with my emotions. When my grandmother passed in August of 2011 I was heartbroken. She meant a lot to me and to this day I have a hard time dwelling on this loss.

They say that one’s sense of smell is very powerful and can bring back a rush of memories. There are two smells I simply adore just because of Omi. One is her delicious “Naked Mice” recipe (which I may or may not ever share). I admit it is hard to duplicate exactly, but when you do the aroma of this dish is so savory and fantastic it leaves your mouth watering!

The second scent is easier to come by. Growing up Omi always gifted us with Vitabath shower gelee. We only ever received the original Spring Green flavor, but now they make so many! I wash honored to receive some sample packets to try out a little of everything. I was concerned at first that the new scents would ruin the effect I was longing for… that memory connection. However I was very pleased to find that each different flavor still had that underlying scent that brought back pleasant memories of my grandmother!

Out of the samples I was given the Grapefruit Vanilla and the Green Tea & Sage were my favorites. The Lavender Chamomile sounds delicious too!
