A Lunchbox That Rocks My Socks!

I am sad to report that this mama will be returning to work soon. Bah. The idea has been like a little black cloud hovering over my head and I’ll be filling out applications and working the grind shortly after Gaia goes back to school next month.

We are slowly incorporating what-ifs into our daily life. I have lots of milk stored, a schedule that allows Anders to stay at home with one of his parents at all times, and I’ve been able to network with jobs in the area who are looking forward to hiring me on as part of their team! Things are at least looking up even though the change is something none of us are looking forward to.

Since Gaia is going back to school and I’m going back to work, I’ve been playing with ideas for packed meals for both of us. Gaia is the lucky one and she’s got some awesome Hello Kitty bento boxes on their way to me as we speak! And mom, well mom’s got a fancy new lunchbox to carry delicious leftovers and sandwiches in so she doesn’t have to waste lunch breaks looking for food.

milkdot lunchbox

Milkdot is a stylish design company specializing in lunchboxes and school bags. Milkdot lunchboxes are both awesome and functional. It has tons of space and not one lunchbox is a dull color! I also love the magnetic handles on my Milkdot lunchbox. πŸ™‚ Milkdot also has safety in mind and no hazardous materials are used in manufacturing their products. Every product is PVC-free and has been thoroughly tested for lead and phthalates in an accredited lab. Considering that your food gets stored in there it’s quite reassuring!

The founder of Milkdot believes that “an effort towards good, no matter how small,Β can bring growth and positive change for the future of our children and world.” Heck yes!

New styles were just released for back-to-school and they are all super adorable. Head on over to the website to check them out. You can also find Milkdot on Facebook and Twitter.

So boooo for going back to work, but yay for awesome gear to aid me in my adventures!

  1. That’s a cute lunchbox! I like how it opens all the way, and it looks like it would fit nicely in a backpack.

  2. Good luck with going back to work. I went back when my daughter was 4 months old and was so ready to at the time. Let’s just say it didn’t last long because I am already home again. lol
That lunchbox looks fantastic, though! I need to get one for when we go on walks so I can store mine or Myka’s baby food in there and keep them cool! Thanks for sharing. πŸ™‚

    • Here’s to hoping it works. I only need to work a few days a week to get us back to comfortable living. I’m totally bummed about it though. πŸ™ Thanks for stopping by!

      • If it makes you feel any better I’m still going to be babysitting a little boy as well so we can live comfortably too and not paycheck to paycheck. Working period sucks, but living paycheck to paycheck sucks even more!

  3. That looks like a great lunchbox – I love the color! So vibrant!
