We’re now officially part of #ClubFreshStep!

It’s been a while since I talked about my kitties. I admit that my love for my fur babies fades for a brief period in time when I have a new baby in the house. They shed, they invade my space, and they have this box of litter to remind me of how gross having cats can be. I have been trying to move past that as a mom for the second time, and thanks to the new and improved formula for Fresh Step Odor Shield I can move past the gross factor and concentrate on my love for cats.

I have two rambunctious little furballs. They are siblings and they love each other very much. They can be quite crazy at the most inconvenient times, but we love them anyway. We love them no matter how many times they wake us up at 4 am with cat obstacle courses, no matter how many times they knock over our glasses of water, no matter how destructive they are with our furniture…

cats being bad #shop

We still love them.

Though we can’t minimize their off-the-wall shenanigans by much, the new Fresh Step Odor Shield cat litter has helped us to minimize odors in our house. This improved formula uses plant extracts and essential oils to minimize odors caused by bacterial growth in the cat box. We can definitely tell a difference once we switched from another brand. The freshness lasts longer and the clumps are easier to scoop.

My fiance didn’t dig the new packaging. He says it’s bulky and hard to pour. We’re sticking with it though, because the good stuff outweighs the bad overall.

double paw points #shop

The improved formula isn’t the only reason to purchase Fresh Step Odor Shield cat litter. Through October 31st when you purchase the 42 lb. package at Sam’s Club you can earn double paw points! Paw points are used to get great cat-themed gear. I need just 50 more points to donate $5 to ASPCA. I may go and stock up on Fresh Step to take advantage of double rewards!

In order to make the most of my situation and rekindle my love affair with my awesome companions, I’ve taken to catbearding. This entertaining side-gig includes loving my cats for hours in order to prepare them for manhandling. After lots of kitty treats and coercing, I have adorable photos of us together to keep forever and embarrass them.

Pretty cute beards we have, eh?

How did you transition from fur babies to human babies? Did your love for you pets change at all?

  1. LOL – love the cat bearding pics! Glad I’m not the only one who thought my cats got a lot more annoying after the babies were born. I’ve been told it’s normal, but I felt bad about it.

    • I’m so glad I’m not alone on this. I’m happy to report we’re bonding quite well though. The kitties cuddle during nap time and I don’t mind so much.

  2. I guess your cats are happy. I find your pics funny and cute 🙂

  3. sounds like a great product for pets. I am not a pet owner, but I will certainly pass on this info to those who will need. Thanks 🙂

  4. Cute cat names! Thanks for your participation in this campaign! #client

  5. I used to have a cat that would hide in my kitchen cabinets. He could open the door and climb in. Luckily he chose a cabinet with no food or dishes in it. 😉 #client
