My Go-To Rib Recipe

I love my crock pot. I am relieved to have weather cooling down so I can makes soups and chili and all the delicious things! Florida is late on the autumn-having celebration, but we have gusts of wind now which is something to celebrate! To make the most out of our high temperatures, we celebrate summer the most in these early fall months. I recently had some friends over and I busted out my favorite ribs recipe. If I eat ribs, my go-to recipe never fails. Check it out below!

This recipe is adapted from “Fix-it and Forget-it Recipes for Entertaining.”

easy crock pot ribs

Tender & Tangy Ribs

1 cup vinegar
1/2 cup ketchup
2 Tbsp sugar
2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 clove of garlic, minced
1 tsp ground mustard
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
2lbs pork spareribs or country-style ribs, cut into individual ribs

  1. Mix the first 9 ingredients in a bowl and pour 1/3 into the crock.
  2. Fill a large pot with water and boiled the ribs for about 10-15 min to get some of the fat off and start them cooking.
  3. Take the ribs out of the boiling water and place 1/2 in the 2-quart crock pot. Put another 1/3 of the sauce over them. Then the remaining ribs and remaining sauce.
  4. Cover. Cook on low 4-6 hours.

 

They seriously are so delicious and tender that no sauce is needed. However, I find that the men love to slather barbeque sauce on everything, so they’re good like that too.
