It’s a Pirate Party!

Winter is a packed month for us when it comes to birthdays. We have Gaia up first in December, then Hutch in January (along with my mom), then me in February, and Anders will be one in March. It happens to be packed around Christmas with our friends and family. I have several friends who were born on or around Christmas, including Gaia’s friend Noah, who turned 4 on December 26th last year. To make sure he had his own day, my friends postponed his celebration a few weeks. Last Sunday we were honored to take part in a fabulous party. The theme? Jake and the Neverland Pirates of course!

It was an old fashioned let-the-kids-run-around-in-the-back-yard kind of party, and those are my favorite. The adults were able to sit and converse while cheating on our New Year’s goals, and there was very little fuss over the whole thing. But there was plenty of pirate cheer with our awesome set up thanks to Wholesale Party Supplies.

Wholesale Party Supplies carries many novelty and themed swag for every occasion. Based on Disney’s Peter Pan, Jake the Pirate is a popular choice for kids these days and Noah loves him. With the purchase of the deluxe kit you get plates, napkins, cups, cutlery, streamers, a table cover, and 8 candles. It was just enough to dress up our friends’ house for an all-out Neverland adventure! Just add cake and ice cream and we’re ready to go!

We paired the awesome Jake the Pirate party kit with an awesome Jake the Pirate cake, of course. The cake was done by Publix and in case you don’t happen to have one in your area, just know that Publix is the most deliciously moist cake you’ll ever have. We used them for my daughter’s birthday cake as well.

Noah is really into pirates of all sorts, so it’s no surprise that all of his gifts were pirate themed as well. The kids enjoyed sailing the sea with enough pirate ships to go around. But before you knew it they were outside once more. Eventually Nerf guns and super soakers were involved. Way too much fun, if you asked me.

The kids passed out early, Gaia demanding to watch Peter Pan before going to sleep. Since she was relatively well behaved all day I let her. They really do grow up too fast…

  5. Where did you get the toppers? On the publix site I only see a Generic Pirate cake, no Jake 🙁

    • Awww. It was a Publix bakery kit. We looked through the book at the store. Each store has different kits so you’ll have to go look in store, mama.
