A New Take on Breastfeeding Fashion {Linzy Dawn Designs Review}

Back in February I wrote a post at Breastfeeding Place about how I enjoyed using an infinity scarf for keeping modest while nursing in public. Now I’m not one to say you have to cover up, or even that covering up is admitting breastfeeding is shameful. I believe that what is most important is that baby is being fed and mama is comfortable. Most mothers I know can’t be bothered with a cover, but for some this means mom might choose to cover up in order to avoid those glares from the public. I generally dress to feed every single day so I don’t have to worry about it when the time comes to nurse in public. And that’s why I love infinity scarves… little to no hassle involved!

It wasn’t until I wrote that post that I discovered a different way of doing things. Apparently people like to unwrap the infinity scarf and wear it as a one-shoulder sash to cover up. Linzy Dawn Designs makes specialty scarves made just for this purpose!

The scarves for sale at LDD are 28 inches wide, which is what makes them great for nursing. This is typically wider than standard scarves so that more of mother’s body is covered when draped across in the one-shoulder style. This is perfect for moms who may otherwise show their middle section while nursing.

The creator behind Linzy Dawn Designs is excellent at picking out different styles and patterns to appeal to her customers. Nikki is truly the most personable and down-to-Earth business owner I’ve had the pleasure of working with. And if you follow the shop on Facebook or Instagram you’re sure to snag a deal soon, as Nikki is constantly making sure to keep her scarves budget friendly.

Linzy Dawn designs also carries other unique products for babies such as bibdanas, cardigan onesies (so super cute!), and something I’ve never seen before: baprons. Baprons are bibs that fit to your child’s torso without moving around too much. They’re really adorable and as always, you can find them in multiple sizes and designs to fit your specific family needs

We’re definitely big fans of Linzy Dawn Designs around here!

Disclaimer: I received one or more products above free for review. All stories and opinions are 100% my own. I shall not tell lies!

  1. I wish I had something like this when I was breastfeeding! I didn’t feel the need to cover up all the time, but sometimes in a large public setting it was nice to have something. I love how this can be worn as a cute scarf and quickly shifts to being used as a cover up!

  2. My favorite etsy shop is Solar Panel Jewelry – (redirects to etsy store). Honest disclaimer – it is my etsy store 🙂

  3. I love the stylish simplicity of this.

  4. What a good idea! I love infinity scarves so this is a great dual-purpose! Like you, I generally just dress for BF… but it’s always nice to have some sort of cover around… like those times when an uncomfortable grandpa or uncle is in the room!

  5. I love that is doubles as a scarf so you don’t have to dig it out to get ready for feeding. I also love the design!

  6. Ooo I love this, I’m expecting so I’m happy I came across this!

  7. What a super cute scarf! I love it!!!

  8. What a great idea. I covered up with my first, but my second was born in Uruguay and no one covers up there so I got comfortable very quickly. When we came back to the States I didn’t use a cover.
