I have been diggin’ myself a hole in all the curriculum I bought this summer. I bought a little bit too much, but I didn’t know what I wanted and to be honest I still don’t know exactly what will work best for my daughter. It is really fun to see all the things we’ll be learning together this year and I’m feel positive overall about our first year homeschooling.
I’ve enrolled miss Gaia in a S.T.E.M. class this fall. It was pretty pricey, but i hear they’re all the rage…. plus she needs that socialization and “school feel” so we’re giving it a go. I was looking for some other focus of Science here at home though since it really is my favorite subject. I didn’t find too much while shopping this summer so I was stoked when I discovered a free Magic School Bus centered science curriculum. I’ve penciled it in for Wednesdays through Christmas. We’ll see how it goes!

The program I used is really user friendly and actually pretty fun (you know… if you’re a nerd like me). It’s an online scheduling application that makes everything look and feel so easy! You can learn more about Lessontrek and score 50% off by reading the review here at The Earthly Educator.
I have some field trips planned and I’m sure more will come up. We’re mostly going with the flow, but it’s nice to look back and see where we’re headed. I’d say we’re going to be just fine!
