Extending My Breastfeeding Modesty with Undercover Mama

It is not easy to be a big breasted woman on a budget. I tell you that. Essentials for breastfeeding make it even more difficult. Nursing tanks can be really expensive and not all of them work for big breasts. I’m lucky to have held onto the tanks form my first child. They are the old style Target tanks that have been remodeled since to be less awesome. I have 6 of those and live in them. Since my baby is now a toddler he’s nursing less. This means I can go much longer between nursing sessions. And what that means is I can wear normal clothes! Or at least close to normal. If I tried really hard I could probably get away with an all day outing without nursing. For days that I don’t want to, Undercover Mama helps transition my wardrobe from full-time breastfeeder to functional casual wear.

The way Undercover Mama nursing tanks work is simple. Just take your favorite bra, add the easy tank using on of two attachments (both included on every tank), and voila! A simple shirt to make any ensemble nursing friendly! Pretty neat huh?

The cool thing about these tanks is that the either/or attachment system makes it easy to use with both nursing bras and NON-nursing bras. You can use the slip in clasp on a regular bra and just pull down to nurse if you prefer.  Most women prefer to use a two shirt system with a button up or easy pullover. However, Undercover Mama also sells top shirts if you prefer. And there are plenty of colors to fit any style preferences.

My favorite thing about Undercover Mama is that the tanks are extra long. I sometimes have issues with my shirt riding up. Since undercovers are both long and form fitting I don’t have that problem. This also helps when you’re wrestling a fidgety toddler during nap time at a play date. (Ask me how I know.)

Undercover Mama is graciously offering one of my readers a nursing tank of their own!  This giveaway will end at 11:59 pm EST on July 25, 2014. You must be a resident of the US to be win. Winner will be verified and have 24 hours to respond via email. To enter, simply use the Giveaway Tools form below.

Good luck!

  1. I had mastitis when our son was 4 months and I was extremely difficult to continue nursing but I overcame it and continued to nurse him.

  2. Mine would be in the “new bra/nursing tank every day” category. I tend to have an oversupply, and get fruatrated with the leakage!

  3. Miriam Matheny says:

I have realized breastfeeding will be a monumental task for both baby and I so I plan on taking it one day at a time.

  4. I haven’t experienced breastfeeding yet but I’m hopeful that I can meet my goals with the support of people I’ve met online!
