It’s in the air: illness. We love the cold weather, but there’s just no escaping the fact that a change in temperature brings on the sniffles. I, personally, have an awesome immune system. My husband and kids, on the other hand, do not. I tend to be overly protective of my household because of this, though I am not necessarily a germaphbe. Instead I try to focus on building immunities and preventative care. A new super cool way we do this is by treating the kids to Soothie Suckers.
Soothie Suckers are herbal blend ice pops that support the immune system and add balance to the inner workings of our bodies. I was given a box of each flavor to try. I prefer the grape over the orange, but the orange is a nice blend of Echinacea and Astragalus and my todler prefers that flavor over grape. (Weirdo.)
The flavors of both popsicles take a few tries to get used to for us. We didn’t take to them right away. They need a few suckles to get addicted. And then there’s no stopping. My toddler actually never had a popsicle before. (I’m not entirely sure why. I guess I’m just a stingy mom that way.) He really enjoyed the experience after a while, but his initial reaction was really quite hilarious!
This is a kid who gets pumped full of elderberry syrup and echinacea tea on the regular. I’m not sure if it was the flavor for him, or just the new experience of the cold sensation of Soothie Suckers. But as you can see he was all smiles after just the first little taste and after that I couldn’t get him to share!
The kids love their new desert, and mommy likes not having to share her ice cream. 😉
Food as medicine is the new trend, and we like it!For just a little over a dollar a pop, these suckers are a great addition to any freezer during this cold/flu season. Visit Soothie Suckers’ shop today and consider stocking your shop with the herbal blended immune support!
